Did you hear about the promising filly? She won eight straight races in night race programs, but lost all six of her starts when the programs took place in the afternoon. Owners of the filly were perplexed that she ran so well at night but failed to be in the money each time she raced during the day.
Finally one of the owners figured it out--"It's really very simple," he told the other owners. "It's obvious she's a real night mare."
