My research finally paid off! The fist sight I went to was in the oldest town in my county at a closed down school and old ball park. This is where I found my first standing liberty quarter. I was only there for about an hour because I had to get out of there. People started moving around and this town is like the worst hood in Chicago. They will kill you for the change in your pocket. The next time I go I'm packing a gun, MS made it legal to open carry.

The next place I went to was old school sight that I thought was changed into a park in a safe little town. I get to the sight and it looks great, so I start swinging. Five min in I find my first wheat. So I'm pumped at this time and continue along the side walk at the edge of the park. A few min later I hit a mercury dime, my oldest coin yet. Super happy now!
A hour goes by and I find a little clad, when a truck pull up. A older man gets out and starts walking toward me (here we go). Turns out he is a really nice guy and gives the brake down of the location of the SCHOOLS. I thought there was only one that I found on a 1934 topo map. The first school was a high school that his dad went to. This guy looks to be about 70 and went to the elementary school that was on the opposite side of the field. I'm super excited now, this sight is older than I thought.
Now the let down. As he is leaving he tell me that its private property but the owners wouldn't mind. Ahh its not a park! So I tell him I have to get permission because it wouldn't be right. He points to the only mansion on the block and gives me a name. !!!!, I have never cold called anyone before. I almost leave, but the potential of the sight won out, so I drove over and knocked on the big front door. The lady that answered the was the maid. I ask for the owner and state my business. A few min later the older Mrs come out. I introduce myself and ask for permission. She replies "You mean continue what you were doing" (yikes!) I quickly reply with a yes mam, I thought it was a park because it so pretty. she gives me permission and tell me I probably wont find anything because the had the ground turned over.
( deep silver turned over) She all so tells me about her daughter collecting wheat's. Before I think about it I hand her my mercury and the one wheat. This is the first time she smiled at me I tell her thank you and start walking to the car when she tells me I can hunt it when ever I want
Swing one more hour and find a Washington. The next time I go I'm bringing her a plant. I sure getting in good with her will open up other sights.
