A First! (for Me)

Got out for the first time in a few weeks since the weather turned cold here. Took my hunting partner to a new site I found reviewing some old maps. Finally found the remnants of the foundations. Tons of trash. He found an 1860 IH in nice condition. I got nothing. (It figures). Left him after a couple of hours for an Appointment. Hit a spot in my local downtown area, and here is the first target I dug, after about 30 seconds hunting.

Nice! Do you know what it is and how old? I know that I have not seen one like it before. Lets hope it is valuable. Good Luck and HH.

Its generic type Store Card or sometimes considered a Patriotic Civil War token. Its of the Type 216/293a R3 FLAG / NO NORTH NO SOUTH. Where the first numbers indicate the dies used in the striking, "a" indicates the material used was copper, and R3 indicates 500 to 1,999 are estimated to exist. The date for this token is approximately 1861-1865.
