This morning I went out for the first time in weeks and hit a county park. I hunted an area I believed was one of the oldest areas (after doing a little research). It was extremely trashy so I used the little 8" coil and worked an area that I didn't feel too many would bother to hunt. I hit some clad and then a nice shallow silver hit. As soon as I touched this coin I new it was old. Believe it or not, it was no more than an inch down sitting on the root of a tree that's no longer there. My first Barber... a quarter
It's pretty worn but it sure looked pretty to me. I'll definitely be going back to this area for a closer look.
