From where I sit in my living room right now,I am looking out our living room sliding patio door. This time of year,we can see Lake Michigan,1/4 to 1/2 mile down the road, where the highway curves up and away from the Lake.Last night,we had 30-40 knot onshore winds kick up,and I can easily see the HUGE SURF crashing up on the ice shelves washing over it and making these ice mounds that get bigger with every passing wave, here in this below freezing region. The wind is so strong,we could actually hear the surf crashing ashore all night long.....Yesterday,Marcia and I walked down to the public beach down in the same area, and after we fought our way through the snow drifts, what a sight:Ice shelves extending out at least 50 feet off the beach into the Lake, them huge rolling waves crashing up and washing over the ice shelves, creating them huge ice mounds I mentioned earlier,in both directions,as far as we could see.......VERY COLD????Oh my,yes, wind chills way down in the minus,we had arctic gear on,though........But GORGEOUS!!!,sure is,sounds awesome,too......WHAT A DISPLAY OF POWER,AMEN,BABY!!!!!!!!!!!
