A frosty morning woods stroll. :teknetics:

33 with a wind chill factor of 24 this morning, but the Omega said lets go do it. All in all, not a bunch of good targets, but we did sniff out a 1902 Barber quarter and near the end of our stroll, found a good pair of Foster Grant Ironman sun glasses just resting on a log. A few minutes later dug the sterling ring. I think I was pretty fortunate to get the Barber. Going down a slight incline got a big, but good sounding hit and upon kicking the leaves away spotted a portion of a 3 Merry Widows lid. A few inches further on got 3 or so hits in a small area. The 1st target I dug was the Barber. The next was a smashed rusted bottle cap and the 3rd was a deep, small potted meat can. The 4th was a wheat cent. The nickel might have been the deepest nickel I have dug with the Omega. It was giving a faint mid and high tone mix and jumping around from 74 to 80. One of those curiosity signals that just begs to be dug. On the Pro pin pointer it was about 7" deep. Thought for sure when I saw it was a nickel that it would at least be a Buffalo. The 2 wheat cents are 52 and 55. Merry Christmas everyone. HH jim tn

Stellar finds there! :clapping: A barber Q and sterling ring! Should be a good weekend to hunt a little eh? Looks like the Mayan's are pulling some silver up out of the ground for you! real close to 150...keep at it!

Thinking back, Jims been having a great last 30 days or so...several barbers and that big gold chain...so yes, I think he does very good with a little cold..

Not today, though, mud. Went tabman style hunting for a bit this afternoon at a soccer field. Well, not really. I dug about a dozen tabs, some slaw and zincers and pretty quickly determined that was to much work. Great Tn day here. Mid 60's and all sun. Merry Christmas. HH jim tn

Yeah...I didn't do too well either..21 coins for 71 cents...dang cold and windy, chip lots frozen, gravel lots snowcovered..just one of those days a fellow rarely posts about. Going tomorrow none the less!
