A Fun Day Hunting With Friends!

I met up with Neal and Steve (Indy) in South Bend. We hunted a lot that another friend did well at. It was a junk pit but had goodies in there too. I found the token, v-nickel and some wheats plus picked up some old bottles. We ended up at a corn field that had a church in the corner way back when. Neal started off by getting a shield nickel and a silver three cent piece in the first pass! Then he found an Indian head and another. I told him we were pushing him down with the next find. I also found a silver three cent piece and IH plus possibly a flying eagle cent (too corroded to really tell). Steve got a nice pitcher and a bridal rosette. This is the first time I have seen two silver three cent pieces come out of one spot! It was definitely fun.

Wow!! WTG on the 3-center!!! Sweet token too, I've only dug a few old tokens. Keep em coming!

Nice finds - two three centers in one hunt is phenomenal and the other coins are icing on the cake. I could not locate the token you found but I know there is a S. Chapin St. in South Bend, IN. Way to go and HH!

ild love to find one of those 3 cent coins on my want list nice finds

Nice finds BigFang. Sounds like a nice site!

A big CONGRATS on that hard to find Trime!
WTG!!!!

Thanks for putting us on the one spot in South Bend! The three cent pieces came from a MI field.
We should plan a hunt.

You will find one. All it takes is to hunt old spots. Keep hunting old spots and you are bound to find a three cent silver!

It is funny how when I found that coin, I knew the day was made. To see that tiny silver rim sticking out of a clump. Carefully splitting the clump to show a three-cent coin! I didn't find another coin that day but it was okay - it was a good day for sure!
HH and thanks again - BF
