A fun summer of detecting..................

Elton

New member
I really enjoyed using the T2 LTD............. Snow time is here... Expected 2" to 4" by tomorrow night.

All you detectorists that have good climates for winter detecting keep us posted..

Hi Elton, It's strange to see you guys talking about going into winter, when we're experiencing some very hot weather here....maybe we could start a "Detectorists Exchange Program", for the adventurous only... seriously though, it is hot and dry and the ground is like concrete (where I am)....so while you wait for warmer weather, we wait for rain....

Elton, I'll do my best to post some really good finds. But first I'll have to work up the courage to get out in this nasty cold stuff.

It's been awhile since I've been detecting.:detecting:

I guess although its winter over here in the UK its also concidered the best time for detecting as well, its been raining a bit this last week and the ground is of course wet but its also the best ground conditions for getting the deeper signals down as well.As it rarely snow for long periods of time that does not bother us either, only conditions you wont find me out is when its raining all day long as i cannot see the enjoyment of being out in those conditions.

Only disadvantage of winter is it gets dark so early, during the summer we can detect out till 10.00pm but during the winter it could only be 4.00pm,but these early evenings give me a chance to catch up on doing alot of site research and local history, its all about doing alot of research on potential good new sites.

Been watching the Radar, El,...you are getting pounded! this is just no good, no good at all! :rage: A fellow is gonna have to come up with an alternate lifestyle that dont involve snow or cold I'm a thinking..

I bet there might be a call for the Southern Hemisphere boys to log in and take over for a while.... Glad you had some fun for a bit...you've been quiet and we've been worried about you..:please:
