A ghost town hidden within 15 miles of West Branch,Mich....

.....It is between West Branch,and St.Helen;right on the R/R between the 2.Called Beaver Lake;Its on old maps and in the Michigan Gazetteer.AND,ITS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF PUBLIC RECREATION LAND owned by Michigan.Ive gone twice to hunt it up;to no avail.Somebody told me once that they knew where the cemetary was for the town-WAY out in the middle of the forest.Im wonderin if that old bottle/trash dump I found a couple miles back of the in-laws house in the woods was from that Beaver Lake-IT IS in the same general direction as the town;although MUCH closer to my in-laws then the town site-Probly 10 miles or so separate the townsite/dump site.Im gonna see if I can find out some info from the historical society,and I'll let ya know.......

Had heard someone owns that property now....reliable source...a Sheriff Deputy and a Sheriff Corrections Officer I used to metal detect with. That was last year they mentioned it.

As there is a cemetary at Beaver Lake;thats STRICTLY OFF-LIMITS for me to detect-I know there are laws protecting graveyards;but I know of people that have told me they have hunted the older ones(NOBODY FROM THIS FORUM!!!);and I feel that in my own opinion,that would be demonstrating a tremendous lack of respect for the dead........OPINIONS?????
