A God thing happened yesterday!!!............

Our family went to a friends house for Easter dinner. On the way home we were going to go right to church for a baptism service. I usually help the pastor by helping people down into the baptismal and then out again and giving them a towel. Well about 7 miles from home my stomach started feeling really bad! So I drove fast to get home and told my wife to go on and take the kids without me, that I would be over soon in my truck! Well after a bit I was still feeling so-so, and decided I didn't want to go feeling that way. I called and talked to my boys to be sure they helped get things ready, and that someone would do my duties.

Now here is the God thing!

I called my mom's house to se how the family dinner went. My nephew answered and said that grandma went to take a nap. I said I will call back later and he said uncle Mike I have a question for you. He wanted to know if he could attend church with us next week. I said sure! We then had a ten minute conversation where he explained how his life is nothing but drug use, joblessness, law breaking, etc.... He said I see the happiness that your family has, and I want that! So I talked to him telling him that the one way to get that happiness is through Jesus.
He said he remembered how my wife and I used to take them to events at the church and other places. I guess those planted seeds finally sprouted! :) Praise the Lord!

I believe that God had me stay home so that I could make that phone call! :) Please pray for my nephew Mark. He has many uphill battles to face, but God is bigger than all of them combined!

Thanks for letting me share.
