Its been a long time since Sherry has been out of the house and it was a very nice day - snow plow just finished our street (throwing snow in our driveway just as we were backing out the drive.
So glad to see her smile:

Sherry was feeling good and I offered to take her out to eat. We ate then decided to stop at Lyman's On The Lake - a sporting goods/bait shop that was also a big part of the 'Frozen Stupid" movie.

We had hoped to get a pic of Sherry holding the HUGE fish from the movie but it and the car used in the movie are in storage.

We took some pictures of the 'shanty' town on the lake and snowmobilers enjoying the snow we got in abundance the last few days:

Then we decided to head down to the DNR Boat Launch facility here in town - figuring it would be plowed out for the ice fishermen and snow mobilers to park their trucks and trailers while they 'play' on the lake.
We drove all the way to the lauch - riding in the ruts of other vehicles and no - DNR didn't plow. Right now I am at home typing this. Our vehicle is still at the boat launch stuck in the snow at the farthest point from the entrance. After my buddy Ken gets out of work 'we' (how many that might mean) will be going down with his 4x4 truck, shovels, snowblowers and other impliments of snow removal and hope to recover the van tonight - or we won't be making church tomorrow. Ken doesn't get home until 7 PM (an hour away and it getting dark already). We called a wrecker service but they refused to come get stuck with us - chickens.
We were lucky on a ride home as when we called Ken's wife Carol she was within a mile of where we were in her new car. So let's pray we can get it out, home and in one piece without tearing up the van or Ken's truck.
Carol and Ken are getting a laugh out of this. I'm envisioning a trip to Wal-mart to buy a $600 snowblower and having to use it half the night snowblowing a path to the van from the entrance and back about 5 times if our other efforts don't work out.
Carol said 'you guys are making memories'. Yeah, I think there are other memories I'd rather have. Sherry said 'I'm surprised God didn't warn us about how deep the snow was and that we might get stuck". I told her God did. I said don't you remember as we pulled into the entrance I said "let's not go in there it isn't plowed? That was God's warning".
