An early alarm got me out of bed. So much to do.....unplug batteries, put in detectors, lunch, gas, wallet, diggers, scoop etc. And go figure, -4C out and there was solid white mold on my new Saturn Vue. After a while of difficult scraping, I headed off to meet my buddy Scott.

I met Scott at a McDonald's, where we managed to keep whatever we ate in our bellies, and I packed all my gear into his wifey's white, immaculate, don't even think of making it dirty Caravan. Ok???? Which way to the beach!

We got there, and we were a couple hours early, so as to not get a "finds" advantage over the rest of the group which hadn't shown up, we just worked some woods near by. I wandered around and came across this old picnic site, all over grown with saplings and weeds. So, using the sniper coil on the ACE 150, I snatched some loot, including a wheat cent and a silver dime.

A couple of hours later, the rest of the gang showed up with their gear, and the hunt began..........

After a several hours of water and land hunting with the Garrett Infinium, I got these targets above. Actually, all the detectorists got nice finds, especially the queen hog, who got the most gold! There hopefully will be some pics coming in soon on the rest of the finds.......

Here's the best of my hunt today. No gold, but silver! And a great time was had by all.

looks like a nice day out John & good job on the silver  there's nothing like shearing a good hunt with Friends

looks like you and your friends had a awesome day but soon we will be in the snowman season :sadwalk:

And to think the coldest I've ever been in was in the low 20's.

Some serious pirates on that outing.
Looks like every one enjoyed themselves.
