I told Sherry this the other day while she was driving..it was spur of the moment and off the top of my head humor. Having recently gotten more interested in music (learning about drum playing, the Q-Chord, electronic keyboard, etc.) I picked up terminology I never would have used. So here goes...
I told Sherry "I'm tired of doing dumb stuff so I asked God to direct my footsteps along music. Ya know I have hurt myself with trips and falls and even now lifting that snow blower into the back of the trailer to bring it home I hurt my back. But with music...I never heard of anyone getting hurt carrying a Whole note. Even at that, one can work their way up from Quarter notes to Half notes then go to Whole notes. And even if one is starting to feel weak, God is there to Sustain us. And He knows there are times when we just need a Rest. I might trip over a note but I don't fall and hurt myself. There are some times I need to do something over again so music tells me to Repeat or to Go Back To Beginning."
