Went to an old homestead with the guys from team ATC today. I was the only one who found a coin, but I did find this interesting lead figure I am calling it evil Santa. I don't know what it is but there is an unmistakable face on it.

That looks like my uncle after he drank a few! :buds: I'm gonna go with sangamon. Doorknocker from a house that "didn't" want you to knock!

That EVIL find will look great with your collection I'm sure. WTG with the Canadian Dime. At least you got a Silver! Good Luck and HH to you on your next outing.:detecting:

I cant say i didn't think about it. I even thought what if I brought it to my house and it had some sort of curse on it. Which isn't good considering I am flying to Orlando tomorrow. its a good thing I am not to superstitious.:look:

It looks like a rendition of the Celtic "Green Man" figure. Supposedly the Green Man is who gave growth to plants and the ancient pagan religions in Britain and Ireland celebrated "him" in the spring. Maybe a passing Druid dropped it???

I doubt if it's a doorknocker if it's made of lead. More likely it is a gargoyle type decoration that broke off a victorian outdoor planter of some kind. Then again, if your bed starts levitating and your heads spins 360 and pea soup comes out of your mouth in the next few days, you might have found "something else".

I was detecting today at a county fairground site and found this item. It gave a conductive signal and shows considerable corrosion. My first thought when I saw it was, "How weird is that? Somebody just posted a photo of a creepy find like this at findmall.com." Don't think this is big enough to be a door knocker, but not sure. Another mysterious find.
