A Little Different Kind of Gold RIng

I just now got around to photographing this ring I pulled in the wee-hour low tide last Sunday.

It's marked 14K with "Pall" under it, which means that the gold rings within the ring are 14K and the silver ones are Palladium...which is currently at $443/oz, so not as valuable as gold at $1244/oz. But I'll take it. Not sure if it will get melted yet or not...it happens to fit the wife's ring finger perfectly and she says she "kinda likes it". But she has a few much nicer ones that she wears and I don't see this one getting worn much so it will probably be added to the melt pile. Actually, I'm using www.aragold.com now so there is no melting...it's a chemical extraction process. But they pay the most of anybody, so I don't give a hoot HOW they get it! :)

Very cool. I've always liked jewelry made of contrasting metals, it highlights the process of making it, which speaks to my mechanical side. I'd probably keep that one.

Just a shot in the dark but might work ..... find a web site that has a translator tab on it and type in whats on the ring and see what turns up.
You might have to use several different ones to get the right language.

Looks Greek to me. Actually I'm pretty sure it is. Not sure what it says as I don't know the lower case letters but it shouldn't be too hard to look up now.
Congrats on a nice find!

Yeah, I found some of the letters that appear to be Greek, but a few others I did not see in any alphabet chart I was able to pull up. Although most were in caps. Probably Greek. Digital cameras are great for this kind of thing because with the naked eye, I couldn't make out anything.

Well until I found this one, I was thinking I needed SOMETHING. My mojo was MIA. I feel good that it's all gravy from here on, though. I feel a streak coming on. :)
