A little Explorer History needed.

How many Explorer models are there?
When did it all begin?
What are the differences?
Are the settings common for them?

Getting a Explorer 2 next week and
for some reason I think I should know
this.
 
Explorer's first in 2000 XS and S, Then the II, Then the SE, And followed by SE PRO

Many on the changes have been enhancements, or industry upgrades (newer products).

Hope this fills in some blanks
 
I am curious why you said the II was better as well.
