It has really been dry here The ground is not like brick. IT IS BRICK!! Family matters has kept me from MD'ing. Kids, when will they ever grow up. I MD'ed a few places this week end. I even tried the river and found out my sniper coil wasn't totally water poof. The sealer didn't adhere to the cable and water got into it. It is ripped apart again. The stock coil is killing me in the trashy sites. I MD'ed this site today. When I got there someone else was MD'ing it with a DFX. Friendly guy. He only got two memorials. I don't think the houses were that old because the soil wasn't black.

Nice finds John. I'm leaving next week to go to my kids for a visit. I always call them my kids. My daughter is 33.

I call mine kids, because they still need my help to support themselves. I try not to give than any help, but you know the story, I have my daughter's boys till she can grow up. By then, they will have grown up.

Great finds John. I lick that old play nickel. Pretty cool. looks like some of those other finds were in the ground for some time judging from their appearance.

Good finds...:clapping: You are not alone in caring for your grandchildren. I am a Probate Judge and see it all the time. The kids will be better off for it and there are lots of support groups out there to help.

I actually took off three nice days from detecting this past week because the ground was just too dry and hard. Then we go a nice all day soak from Hannah so I went out and hit it hard yesterday. Nothing that required a post or a picture. Tons of the usual clad.

Love the nickels, play and buffalo.

You and your wife are doing the right thing. You know that but I just feel like reminding you from time to time.
