A little joke on me..Well sorta Joke....not what I thought anyway

I took F75 LTD out at lunch time today.. Went along River bank in City Park. Also has a path that goes for several miles.

Anyway I turned on the detector and started detecting... not much of a chance for Deep Silver because it's fairly new.. I didn't even GB.. just detected.

First target was a memorial cent at 4" bout what I figured I would dig... next a Lead sinker ( Small one) at 6" hmmmmmm next more memorials at 4-5" and one on side in a hole..71, to 74 reading Copper not zincs....... Next I got a high 80's signal and another sinker at 8" was dug bigger this time..last, but not least a larger sinker turned white, and all rusty at point of line connector from moist ground at 9". Grass in this area was about 3" high. that makes it 12" deep from coil.I had DE Mode (I thought) on. Swinging regular like you should. swinging above, and over the grass. Like you should not be doing.I raised the coil up about 4" and still got a signal .At 6" above grass it dropped, so I was fairly sure it wasn't a pop can..of which I dug one at 14" hmmmm deep.LOL........ I dug out the target and was disappointed in another sinker find ( I could get lead poisoned from all the lead in my Pocket LOL).. I then started to shut the machine down and hit the red button and found to my surprise I was at 40 sens only. and I found I wasn't in De mode but BP mode from the settings the night before in my house messing with target responses.. 15 disc...notch 1 tones 3H...just like I left it when I turned it off. I was thinking it reset to 60 like my T2..it doesn't. it saves last settings lol..wow it goes deep at sens 40......wonder what I would have found at sens 60...Maybe deeper sinkers..LOL .. thought you might like to hear what a power house this F75 LTD is.. don't be afraid to lower sens..it works fine........I also notice it doesn't hit a lot of rusty bottle caps like my F75 did. Now that's interesting...My point is this machine has lots of power..seems to be stable, not as erratic as the F75......... I'm liking it.............Hope you all try one in the near future if you haven't yet.. Now if I can just get over some Silver... I can't imagine the LTD would miss it..

El, you think it is deep now, wait until you go to 0 disc. and 90 sen. You are going to need a different shovel, you are still just playing. HH jim tn

Elton,
I think what you have hit on is what will help many new users get comfortable with the LTD. I know i struggled with mine. The first instinct is to crank it up as high as you can and go hunting. I found a lot of aggravation and frustration with mine.
I was bombarded with too many signals and too much to try to digest. I have since lowered sensitivity and raised discrimination to the point that I can stand being around the machine. I am bringing back deep targets, silver and relics and I can stand to hunt for more than ten minutes without giving myself a headache. I think the important thing to remember is that the LTD is very flexible. There are a lot of ways to make it work. I joked I needed a quarterback wrist pad to keep track of all of the programs for this machine. There are a lot of ways to use it.
A lack of power or depth should not be a big concern to the user of the LTD. Thanks for sharing.

Are correct. There really isn't a right or wrong way to use the LTD..It works many different ways, in many different places.. If you are not getting good results with "HIGH" sens..try lower sens..or vise versus. if your Disc Pattern isn't working ..change it up.. .If DE doesn't work.try something different......JE PF, BP or even cache mode..But do try adjusting your swing with different modes..that seems to make a difference too. One other thing.don't worry about the little pops and crackle sounds.. It's small targets that's disc'd out..You will know when you hit a good target..It will be loud and clear...........You will also hear targets that's in with junk..just listen.........All I know is this. The F75 LTD is a very capable detector..it may not be perfect, but it's better than most in a lot of hunting conditions. Some say the heavy machine on the market is deeper..maybe !!..but it's not that much deeper if at all.and not everywhere either..and it's comfortable, light weight, and you can swing it many hours without fatigue.......You can also cover a lot more area with the normal swing..aaaaaaand some say the LTD is noisy.Well I would say that's people who haven't used the other top of line machine (Heavy One ) it's a constant noise factor in your ear. So over all ."one fine machine".that's as good or better than any on the market.. Also don't forget the small 5" DD coil...deadly to coins in trashed areas.
