A little night hunt yields silver...

Went out for about two hours of "night hunting" this evening; I'm loving the backlight on the SE Pro. Went back to the old school where I picked up the Merc and the Barber dime a couple of weeks ago. Got into a bunch of iron near the building (nails and such, probably from the construction), so I need to get in there with a small coil. Until I get one, though, my only option is to go real slow with the Pro coil -- and that did yield me another Merc. It's a 1942-D in nice shape (I don't think it's one of the rare "2 over 1" mercs, but I'll check in the morning). It was down 3-4" and screamed at me -- I think I'm addicted to the Minelab "silver sound!" :)

Will also try to get a pic posted in this thread tomorrow.

I`ve never tried night hunting. WTG, Steve

Plan on trying moon-tanning this summer, but it's still a bit chilly at night. Maybe in another couple of weeks.

Nice find !!
