Tabman and I hooked up to check out a big old school yard for a possible club "buddy hunt" location. After a couple hours we determined that for the 70's to present era coins we were digging that fill may have been brought in or the dirt was moved in manner. I did recover kind of an unusual ring on the spot, but after getting it cleaned up a bit, I noted on the band 18k H G F. As my wife says, "the gold fill is gone." We then went to one of the cities largest parks that also has some good age, but has been pounded to death over the years. We were hoping for a silver coin or good jewelry item and I did recover 1 silver coin, a 1919d Merc and what appears to be a Nike coin of sorts. All in all, we had a good time, mostly digging clad and pennies. I had 4 quarters, 8 dimes, 7 nickels and 29 one centers. Beautiful West Tn day for hunting and doing it with a fun hunting buddy.
