A little silver and things to end the month.

Our grandson is getting his Eagle Scout award this weekend, so today was probably my last shot at any more silver for the month....and I wasn't let down. I hit the turf about 7:30 with the LTD and pretty promptly recovered a wheat cent that was quickly followed by a 42p war nickel. After several pre 82 Memorial cents and a few clads, I hit a 40d Merc., another wheat and then a 21 Buffalo nickel. It is a bit rough, but under the glass I can make out the 1921. Also got another Scout kerchief slide and a couple of curios. B P mode, sen. 87, disc. 0, 3h tones and G B mid to upper 60's. Hope everyone has a great weekend. HH jim tn

j.t., I was close to selling some gold and silver when it was at $1400. and $30., but got greedy and decided to wait. Mike, thanks, we are very proud of him, that's for sure. HH jim tn

Makes you wonder where all the others are doesn't it.. Another interesting thing is they do not show any 1922 Bufs being made..Wonder if there were any mint strikes on the 22"s.......... Now that would be a nice find.. "Priceless" Anyone know why no 1922 Buf Nickles were minted ???

And yes, it is quite an accomplishment. Tell your grandson us crazy dirt diggers congratulate him on his hard earned Eagle status.
Man, I wish more young people would go into scouting. They become much better citizens of this country when they do.

it's on the way back up to 30!..may make 50,and this time,
the hunt brothers are NOT in the game!

the level of accomplishment required to achieve "eagle" scout status
is daunting!..definitely "molds" the character of any young man.

Yes TerraDigger, scouting is a very worth while program. j.t., his Eagle Scout project was setting up a basketball goal at a community center near the projects. His father and I helped with the muscle end of it, but he had to do all the figuring, buying of materials, and so on. Thanks everyone, he is a straight A student and a great young man. He will be off to U T in the fall. HH jim tn
