Some of it might be when Minelab brings out a new detector they are really new and nothing like their other models. Remember all the controversy about the Explorer when it came out after the Sovereign. It really got exciting when Whites DFX and Fishers Coinstrike came out and the "my detectors better than yours" flame wars got started. And now the same thing might happen with the Whites M6 and Fishers ID Edge coming out right after the Xterras. It will be interesting to see if there will be a clear cut winner this time when the smoke clears like the Explorer was.
