A Metal Detecting license is needed and inevitable.

The bad thing about getting the government involved in anything is that when they pass a law or invoke a regulation, no matter how ill conceived or badly written the law or regulation is, no matter how adversely it impacts all our lives, it will stay with us forever. Laws are easy to pass and impossible to get rid of. That's why I think it should be made VERY difficult for the government to easily pass laws and regulations.

Tom in CA and I see eye to eye as well as a few others posting here. It is not illegal to MD most places now. Licensing MDing will only make it illegal without the license and turn most tectorists into criminals!
