A Morning Hunt

I went out this morning and hunted a park I picked from google earth, never been there before. It was a fun morning, not a huge success but some clad and fun. And..at one point I was positive I had just uncovered a gold ring....but...nope! Sure had me going though. LOL!

Haha cool video. Nice finds.
I've had a couple of those heart drop moments thinking it was a ring.
One time I pulled out what looked like a gold ring with a bunch of diamonds. Totally fake. Heart stopped.
That ring is out there waiting for me to find it.

Nice video. Where are you located and what type of snake? Looks like Canadian coins and the temperature is not in the 90's and humid as it is here.

thanks. What type of snake? I never kill snakes here; most are nonpoisonous except for the copperheads which I leave alone.

Like Tinfoil said they are a good snake but they can sure scare you when they surprise you Ha! Here in Texas I've heard people call snakes similar to that... rat, chicken, or bull snakes. Those old Timex watches lived up to their reputation...."They take a licking and keep on ticking"! Beats the he11 out of my watch found last week...a fake Seiko made in Hong Kong which was rusted and half full of water. Best of luck up there and Good Hunting!

Here in Idaho I'd have called that a rather large garter snake. Harmless, so glad you let it go.

Yep, I call them garter snakes. Harmless for sure.

I'm thinking that's way too big to be a garter snake. We call them hognose snakes here and it is a good snake as far as snakes go. I don't even like sticks that move when you step on the other end of it. Lol.

that's funny moving sticks I like that pretty sure we have all been attacked by a moving stick and sense they look so much like the snake below with good reason.

we have snakes here big a$$ bad a%% snakes but most wont attack unless trod on etc.. except the eastern brown I have seen something's from them that worry even the toughest person and well super deadly !!
