A most ALARMING thing happened to me yesterday-

warthog

New member
...around 4PM yesterday;I was on the 'net when our dog Boomer started barking at the door-I went to the door;there stands a 21/2-3 yr.old little girl crying uncontrollably;and shaking like a leaf...Naturally I opened the door and asked her name, and where she lived-all she cried was"I WANT MY GRANDMA"....Poor little thing was scared half to death....I thought about puttin her in my truck and lookin for her house-Instead I got the neighbor women involved;whom were just beside themselves about a child all alone out there....SO:I did what I thought was right:I called 911;and they sent out a car. Before they got here;a man came thru and said he knows whom she belongs to-SURE ENOUGH here comes her father walkin FAST down the road.he got there and said something about"the last time I looked in on her,she was asleep"...I wanted to ask him if he was watching porn or doing something else while his daughter disappeared, but I didnt-I simply looked at him and said"you can explain it all to the police when they get here".He took her home with NOT ONE WORD of thanks to any of us for taking care of his child when he shoulda been watching her....THATS OK;THOUGH:I didnt do what I did to be thanked for it-I did it because the LORD led her to my door.......The fact that there are registered sex offenders livin in the area;and people that dont know how to drive the speed limit makes this event :veryangry:especially irritating-:(-Had she fallen into the wrong hands,or gotten out into the road-

What you have done for the least of my children, you have done for me....well done good and faithful servant.

I have had a similar situation. The girl was much older but suffers from downs syndrome. I also knew she only lived a couple doors down. Once she came to our door carrying her little sister...both in pajamas and no shoes or socks on...it was winter. I got them inside and warmed them and called the neighbor who had a 'male guest'. Didn't take her long to come get her children. God sent them my way too otherwise who knows what might have happened that day.

Ya done good Steve.

You did right by getting the women involved in helping that little girl! Her father may have been so worried about her that could be the reason he didn't say thank you! When you are scared.....a person is relieved just to have the child found and safe and wanted to get her home! Otherwise he would have remembered to say thank you, but then again he may be a mean father, who knows but God!

Dear Lord look over the little girl and protect her from all harm and help her to have a good home with Christian upraising by saving the father and his family or filling them with Your Holy Spirit if they are already saved! Thank You heavenly Father! Amen! God Bless! Betty

Children can sneak off so fast! We see this all the time, some people make great parents, and some have no parenting skills. Becareful to Judge, we all make mistakes. We are so easily distracted with TV and the world, if anything we should learn is, that this is an oppertunity to reach out to your neighbors!
Glad you were home at the time!
