A motley assortment from a 3 hr beach hunt!!!

Goldstrike

Well-known member
A small window of opportunity (3hours) to go to the beach gave me a small assortment of finds. I was really hoping for gold or silver but not this time. I did detect a nice pair of sun glasses but they fell out of my pocket so someone else can find them out there!!
The watch was working great and luckily, was in the dry sand. It would have been a different story if the saltwater had got to it. My wife claimed the watch!!!
The ring in the pic; had me excited for a few seconds as I thought it was white gold!!:clapping:...........but after closer inspection, no:cry:.....bummer lol!!
On the upside, it was really great to go on the beach again, even though the time was short, after a long spell of having to take care of business. G.L. & H.H.

Thanks Kschae4........the watch came in at a penny I.D. 35 but it sounded a little different so I dug! I usually pass on the cents rather than spend time retrieving them and usually everyone also passes them up.
Yes, the ring had me going for awhile but I soon saw it was nothing to get excited over! Better luck next time!!

Nice!!! Later this month my family and I will be on vacation for a week at the Jersey Shore (the real shore, not Seaside, thanks to MTV)... To a nice quiet family beach town way down the coast below A.C. I cannot wait to try my Safari on the beach, I have so far only used it inland. I have previous beach experience with my Tesoro.

Is the Safari safe if it gets accidentally set in the sand (dry sand)? The sand down there is very fine, and I am worried that it may get into some of the exposed parts...

Out of all you have there ,I bet my grand kids would want the Minnie key. That is some great finds.
