A New VIDEO On Garrett's New PRO-POINTER

I am very satisfied for what I got for just over 100 bucks. The Pro-Pointer feels solid and appears to be built like a tank. I have now had it out in the field three times and have two rings, 15 plus bucks in clad and a mess of junk all pinpointed with it. As I said before, it doesn't seem to be speeding up my hunting because it has added a step but it does allow me to disturb the ground less which is always good. On targets in the 6 inch range it speeds up recovery significantly but I find only a small percentage of my finds below 4 inches.

Two added benefits are that it is a real conversation starter and it's something to hand the kids other than my Lesche (dangerous) or my 2500 (mine all mine) when they're following along.

Chris

John I understand your feelings about the price. I always thought that about pinpointers too especially when I was only using the Ace 250. If you have been reading my experiences with the Pro-Pointer you would have read that I didn't think I needed it but that I got one with a gift certificate that somebody gave me a while back. I didn't really have anything I wanted from Amazon and figured I was going to use the GC to buy something for my girls for Christmas. Sort of regifting?

Turns out I really like using it and it is a very nice piece of gear. Worth the money, in my opinion, especially for your style of hunting although you have lots on your plate now. You are doing far more important things with your time and I'm sure your money.

I still don't know if I would have shelled out $127.50 of my own cash for it. Probably after I had somebody elses in my hand I would have.

Chris

Sure wish they were only $127. They're $199 over here. They may even go up as the Aussie $ has just crashed. That's bizarre, as our banking sector is one of the most solid in the world at the moment and our government is twenty billion in the black! Unlike some governments around the world. We were at 96 cents US only a few short weeks ago and yesterday, it went to 58 cents. If it still sells at $199, then it would be at a relative price parity with the US for a change.
Mick Evans.
