A nice 2 hr hunt!

Went detecting this afternoon and came back with these items! I was very surprised that the cameo was intact even though it was about 2 inches down! Having had stomach flu recently (ugh)!!! it was really great to get out and have some detecting fun in the park!!! I keep looking for gold rings out there but they seem to be a rare find these day's!!!

Thanks all! I can't see any marks or maker's name on it and although it looks old (and cool)!! I don't think it's too old.

Thanks for the link! Some of the things we find in parks may have been dropped sometime in the past by homeless individuals. I recall awhile ago talking to a homeless women and noticing she was wearing a really nice antique ring. It was white gold (she let me look at it) with several diamonds set in it. I offered to buy it but it was sentimental and wouldn't sell it which I totally understood. BTW we have a very big homeless population here and unfortunately crime and drug/drinking problems are increasing because of this. Anyway, I think this was possibly lost by a homeless person sometime in the past.
