General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

I recently shipped an item Priority Mail and it took nearly a week from the time the Postal Service received it ( I hand delivered it to the Mail Clerk ) to the time of delivery.

The Postal Office said that expected delivery date for a Priority Package was for 7/22 and I shipped it out on 7/20.

The package was delivered on 7/26 and was bound for Missouri via Warrendael, PA.

Even though the tracking information said that the expected delivery date was 7/22, the Postal Service says they do not guarantee delivery on such date.

Hopefully this was just a snafu and was put on the Parcel Post outbound mail truck, but I never knew that Priority Mail could take so long. Heck, some of my packages that were sent Parcel Post made it to their destination before the Priority package did.

Sorry for the short rant, but [size=large]Beware of the No Guarantee[/size] delivery Policy:ranting:
 
Wow !! Thats the only delivery method I use personally... The USPS has never failed me yet... I just shipped out a small coil to Mo and they were 10 bucks cheaper then ups and will get there 3-4 days sooner... UPS is crazy for what they charge...

I use USPS for the vast majority of my shipping and up until this past week I had never had a problem either Mark.

I was always under the impression that Priority Mail was 2-3 business days shipping and was totally floored at how long this package took.

A slow boat to China is faster than this latest Priority delivery.
 
Usually Priority is great but I have had one take the long way. From Iowa to Illinois............. one week. Like Jackaroo said......... it happens.
 
At least they had a record of having the shipment in their system. I'm waiting for a package that was shipped via UPS on Jul. 27th and UPS has not scanned it their system yet. Said it's possible the package could deliver without ever being scanned!?!? What's the purpose of a tracking number then?

Yeah, I read your post. Sure hope it gets to ya'

Most likely another snafu where someone didn't scan it when it was received. I'm trying to get the P.O. to refund me the differrence on the service that they provided since I have the proof that they are the ones who dropped the ball.
