A previous purchase - long set away - found - not working - now fixed

Pete in MI

Seems like a long time ago in a far far away land where I once worked I purchased an MP3 player for about $60. Was great as I could work then and listen to Christian music at the same time...then the job ended. The MP3 player was set away (and then we moved) - recently we purchased a neat little electronic drum set for about half price than new. One thing that it does is allow one to play along with MP3s. I did hook the laptop up to it (drum set) and also a powered speaker system and it worked well...except for the bulky laptop to play the MP3s I was pretty happy. Then I found the old MP3 player....this is a small unit with 128 megs of internal memory for music and can use an add on SD card to add more music. A little larger than the face on most wrist watches. Cool. Well then I didn't have the software for it. Went out onto the internet and found an updated software package for it. Even with the software the unit would not work - couldn't switch it on. Battery (all one of them AAA) was brand new so knew it wasn't that. Fought with it for a long time and put it away as a waste of time - but because it was expensive when I got it couldn't just through it away - trash or not. Just spent about 5 minutes and tore it apart. Either it was going to work or go to the trash. I got it working.

Of course we all know it was not "I" that did the miracle. It now works, has MP3s on it (Christian music of course) so now I can learn to play drums with the player. This adds one more instrument to the family musical instruments. We have 5 electronic keyboards (one we leave at the church), an electronic piano, the 5 pad electronic drum set (with foot pedal providing a 6th drum). We have tamborines, harmonica, ukelele, Q-Chord electronic guitar, a couple other instruments....oh yeah and Leelan loves music too...he has his own keyboard he plays with and also a toy saxophone that he plays along with YouTube music videos. Oh I forgot he has a toy guitar too.

God has blessed us with music in this home and we love playing to God and for ourselves.

God is GREAT all the time and all the time God is GREAT.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord no matter how you do it! Congrats on getting the whole thing working like you wanted and, yes, God helped you do it! Sounds like Leelan is going to make music for the Lord, too! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
