A Question for Ed

Ed, I am curious to how you set your SE pro. Do you hunt in the digital screen? I don't find many Indians as they closely resemble zinc pennies. I never use the numbers on the SE and thought maybe this might help me find more. Many years ago when I was using a DFX I was ignoring zinc signals at the old fairgrounds until I dug an Indian by accident. I rehunted this area and found a bunch more Indians digging the zinc signals. I guess I should know better.

RLOH,

Yes, IHs or now IHPs ring up in the same area as zincolns on the smart screen. Pretty much have to rely on the depth meter... Of course there are some areas where the Indian heads are shallow, or zincolns deep.

I've always been curious why IHs ring up differently than wheats; supposedly they are of the same metallic composition. Maybe when wheats spend another 20-30 years in the ground they ID the same, but so far they behave differently.
