A QUESTION FOR MONTE OR SOMEONE FROM THE PORTLAND VANCOUVER AREA

I WAS WONDERING IF THE SOIL IN THIS AREA IS MINERALIZED OR MILD AROUND THE PARKS AND HOUSES AND ALSO IS THE SAND AROUND THE COLUMBIA HIGHLY MINERALIZED? AND HOW BAD IF SO?

You would be better to post on the General metal detecting site.

SORRY THE REASON I WAS ASKING WAS BECAUSE I WASN HAVING ALOT OF TROUBLE RUNNING IN SALT MODE WITH COIN AND JEWELRY AND HAD TO RUN IN SALT FOR SOIL TYPE WITH SALT BEACH PROGRAM AND LOST ALL DEPTHI WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THT THE SAND AROUND THE CLOUMBIA WAS MILD AND I WOULDNT NEED TO RUN IN A SALT MODE.

What machine are you running?
A little more info and lower case letters would help.

Did you try Monte's forum?

I don't think you should need to run in salt compensate mode in your area, maybe just salt soil.
It would also be helpful to know what settings you are using,
