A quick Omega stroll yields a couple of surprises.

Had a couple hours after church before the ball games started and took the Omega to a 80's school yard. In the past the school had yielded me one silver dime, a Buffalo nickel and 5 or 6 wheats, so the potential for older coins is there. Anyway, I was mainly expecting clad and worked a spot in front of one of the doors that the teachers and kids come out of and play. Fairly quickly I eye balled the junk ring and then the whistle and dug some clad. I had worked my way over to a tree and got a nice dime reading. From about 2" I recovered a small 925 silver ring. About a foot away I got another 84-85 reading right next to a root and from about 3" recovered the 53d Rosie dime. By then it was close to the time to be heading home for the first ball game and got a 83 reading, which was the 58 wheatie. All in all, with a couple of pieces of silver, it was a nice 1 1/2 hour hunt. Had the 10" coil on and running 0 disc., sen 85, 3h tones and a gb of 71. HH jim tn

OK, I'm back from the park. Even though I didn't go to church today I DID say a prayer and WAS rewarded with a fist full of clad AND a small silver ring too! Perhaps, had I gone to church, it might have been a gold one. Hmmnn, wonder what I'll find if I join the choir...
PS- no disrespect intended - just havin fun

Good find....and I took your comments as "fun." Yours looks like it has some heft to it. Mine weighs a whopping 1.4 dwt. HH jim tn

Jim,
Ha Ha, don't feel bad.. mine is only 1.6 dwt. (2.5g)! The picture is zoomed in and cropped. It doesn't even fit on my pinky and judging by the Winnie The Pooh I assume it is a kids ring. Have a great week!
