as I lost my 19 year old cat Woocilla. Rick and I got her as a kitten right after we got married 20 years ago. She was the best cat ever. We were going to take her to the vet today
and have her put to sleep and I prayed so hard to the Lord last night to not make me have to do that and she just slipped peacefully away this morning curled up in her little bed. I thank God for all the blessings she has brought to us over the years.

ddl: Know how you feel. Joan and I have a black cat named Midnight, and we got him right after we got married almost 11 years ago. He has been sick for some time now and we need to have him put to sleep, but I can't do it quite yet. He used to be a good sized cat, but now he is down to almost bones. He does not like the vet and gets mean toward them when we take him, so we just keep him at home. The vet thinks he may have diabetes or some form of thyroid problem. He still likes to watch Animal Planet and look out of the window at the birds at the feeder and watch traffic go by, so until he gets down and can't go, I really don't want to do the permanent sleep thing. Thank God he allowed you all to have him as long as you did. Our pets really become like part of the family.

Prayers for peace and comfort for you both.

I'm really sorry for your loss. Been there, and know how it feels. We have a cat, Sadie, who lives in the house and she is my bestest buddy. I can't stand the thoughts of losing her! Or any of our three Huskies (who get to visit us in the house on a regular basis). Praying for you!!!! Glad it worked out so that you didn't have to go to the vet to have this done.

Sorry, ddl, to hear about your losing, Woocilla (A pretty name which I've never heard before)! Prayers for you both and I know how you truly feel, as my beautiful, blue-eyed white male Persian cat, Tony, passed away just before my birthday in July of 1997! He was 13 years of age, ill and just skin and bones when he disappeared after I let him outside, for he wanted outdoors so badly! Cats run off and die, so I'm sure that is what he did....although I searched and searched for him, but couldn't find him! We had a special repouir? with each other, for he was deaf, but he knew I loved him and I knew he loved me and he is still missed!

Cliff lost his cat, Princess, from illness and dying in her sleep during the night after his dog, Tara, had passed away in her sleep from illness, a year or so before Princess! Cliff had prayed and asked Jesus to take her and he told Tara, goodbye and said she could go, but it really hurt him! Deaths sure hurt but united in Jesus' love we can endure and overcome all things! God Bless! Betty
