A Sad Sad Day for Minelab Users

It truly saddens me to say this, and I want everyone who reads this to understand why I'm writing this letter. Today I learned of a tragic mistake was made on Monday May 5th 2008. Sandra from MineLab was let go from her Job. From what information I have gathered it was because of the new Company's downsizing. I can only go by what information I have gathered so If anyone would care to correct me feel free to do so anytime.
1st Let me start out by saying, that I have never met anyone so dedicated to there job and so willing to help anyone than Sandra. If there was ever a question you had you could always count on Sandra to have the answer. She was truly dedicated to her job and a breath of fresh air to talk to on the phone. From what I understand Dick Schultz will be filling her position. That will be a hard feat even for Dick if he would care to admit it. For those of you who don't know Dick Shultz, He used to be her boss and has been at Minelab for a long time. I have called Sandra on many occasions with problems I have had with my Explorer and she was spot on with her answers and her knowledge. Why would a Company such as Minelab Make such a grave mistake as to let such a wonderful, Knowledgeable person such as Sandra go? I will never understand that. They have made a terrible, ,terrible mistake in my honest opinion.
If they were smart enough to see the knowledge she possesses, they would at least keep her on a retainer like a
1-800 # for her knowledge so we as consumers / detectorist could ask questions and understand are detectors a little better. That alone is priceless and invaluable to everyone who's ever had a Minelab in there hands. I understand the rational thought process if your a large company and you purchase an existing successful company such as Minelab, that you might want to get ride of some employees.I mean, It makes sense from an overhead standpoint. The sad truth of the matter is Minelab is wrong wrong wrong in this instance. I only hope they retain her quick before some other company snatches her up.
Sandra you are a truly wonderful inspiration to us all. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your hard work and always taking the time to answer all my questions.

Sincerely

Thomas E Weaver

hey guys i know a move like that will effect alot of people like us. ive seen it happen so many times when companys buy another they alway cut the haeds off and keep the arms and legs. i guess its a power thing. i sure she was to high up and wasnt fitting into to THEIR ideas and plans. its always a drag when companys dont seeing the benefit that a person like her brings to the table. not to mention us comsumers, they really dont care what we think anyway. its the old thing if its working dont fix it. im sure if she was that good someone will pick her up.
