A scary find

I found this few months ago. It was well covered with leafs and an old shoe on top. A scary moment... But that's what makes metal detecting exciting. ;)

I recorded it...

Mud

I should have done that :D. But on the other hand, I'm pretty sure they didn't know, someone else is going to find it.
2 years ago I found a cooking pot between a root an old tree (with my garrett pinpointer). I was very excited. I thought no one would hide a cooking pot at a place like this (something special has to be inside). As I opened it, I found a notebook with a pen. It was a huge dissapointment, but the latest one was at least original ;).

At least it wasn't like most geocaches in my area of the world. 35mm film cans and bison tubes. That one had some originality to it. It would have been a bit difficult to find with a hand held gps.

35mm film cans and bison tubes are the reason that I gave up on geocaching. Plus detecting doesn't leave much time for caching. Detecting is more fun anyway.

I found a geocache recently. Didn't even think to put something in it and sign the note since I don't geo hunt.
