Nice hunt!

At about 2 inches under , and I don't know how deep, i didn' dig over bout 6 inches, It wasn't easy, but then again if it was easy everybody would be doing it, when it is frozen real hard and solid I use my Lesche pick, sometimes I chop my targets in pieces when I get real busy chopping, just gotta be careful, with the chips of ice and rocks, they pop around like schrapnel:thumbup::garrett::thumbup:

Now THAT sounds like fun..... i figure if i can get out
even for a little while its better than Not going

Thanks for the info

Alright!:super:Nice hunt!:detecting:Congrats on the ring!:cheers:Happy Hunting!:)

On the detectors that I use in the cold weather (all 9v), i don't have any battery problems, till after out in 15 degrees for 45 min or so, then they get funky, havn't noticed any problems above 15 degrees, course they are usually in a warm house or truck till I use the detector, on my detectors with digital (lcd) readout, they start going goofy with me at 20 degrees, if possible i chest mount inside my coat, no problems then :detecting::garrett:

my hats off to you guys...:thumbup:braving all that snow and cold..
great finds..
