..I told him I was going to go down to that beach club in September looking for a expensive ring a woman lost in the water...He asked me what I was going to do woth it if I found it-I said"turn it back to the woman that lost it;of course"....he just shook his head,and said"WHY are you going to do that??you could just tell them you didnt find it,and sell it-think of all the money its worth"....I told him he was right,I COULD do that-but,I WONT do that-it wouldnt be right,knowing that she lost it;and really wants it back-For this man;doing something for the good of somebody else is totally foreign to him...He wants me to be his friend;but his "principles"and mine are not the same-besides;I REALLY dont want to be around anybody that wants to profit from other people's misfortunes... Kinda reminds me of Judas in the Bible....

...When I am around him,it is a feeling of a constant struggle between good vs.evil-I am not scared of him;I am trying to show him a better way to live your life;and when your actions are directed in a way that reflects your beliefs in the LORD;whats in it for you doesnt matter...I talk about church and my involvment in it;and he is pretty quiet about it.I try to show it from the way I conduct myself of my beliefs-Sometimes;it has more effect than opening my mouth and rattling on,ya know??I think he does not know how to act any other way-AND;I will betcha his father is the same way as he is...
keep planting seeds! Talking and showing works the same. Keep up the good work!

Just tell him how many blessings God has give you and that your are happy to help the woman out -- to see her joy -- because it's what Jesus would do in , and you want to do what Jesus would do show her show her that love.
It's is great how we can always turn a situation around to share Jesus without fear.!

isn't it amazing that 'they' want us to be like them and be their friends instead of them being like us and being our friends. I guess this is where math comes in. You know fractions...the lowest common denominator...in this case they'd rather you sink to their low level of morals than to be a Christian and enjoy having better morals.
Have a guy up here who was looking forward to me moving up here so I could be his 'buddy'. Since he is always talking about himself and what he has and what he can do - and will interupt me just to be more important and he drinks, why would I want to be his buddy?
The best buddy I have here is another Christian and we have respect for each other and have a similar background (Law Enforcement). We help each other joyfully and without making the other 'pay' for help or ideas. We have a great time together whether its Bible study, metal detecting, going out for coffee or anything.
The 'other guy' well he will continue to be a lonely know it all.
Stick to your morals Steve. We have more to gain with Jesus than we have by selling some bobble in this world. You're doing the right thing. "To those who know to do right and do it not, it is sin".
God will reward you for doing right. God will also reward the security guard for his deeds but I imagine what he will get won't be a crown.
