a SERIOUS side of my trip to New Mexico:unsure:

..We took a taxi from El Paso,Texas,to Las Cruces;New Mexico,where my sister has her heart surgery....during that taxi ride;on our way out of El Paso,I asked the driver how far we were from the US/Mexico border.He said less than five miles-THEN he asked me if we wanted to go to the border-AND if we did,we had to get out and walk.I said WHY???He told me"The Mexican drug cartels and the US Border Patrol have been having EXTREMELY VIOLENT gun battles over Mexican drugs entering the US;and EVERY VEHICLE that is within sight of the border-ON BOTH SIDES-is considered a target"......THATS OK- I didnt really want to see the border that much;after all............

it exists. We are 65 miles from Mexico. They have all kinds of killings - tripled this year from 3 years ago. The police chief of one city resigned because they said they would kill a cop a day till he did. They started by killing 2 officers. What a bunch of scumbags.

But you know what = = this would not exist without the demand from Americans for the drugs, Steve in so az
