Looks like I have an intermittent short in the headphone wire. I've been trying to work around it but yesterday it was finally too mjuch. The headphones would quit and the speaker would then be on. It's a common problem at the stress relief location with other brands of headphones.

Garrett Service is sending me a new headphone to try out and I am very pleased with their fast response...especially them not waiting for the retuen of my headphones first.
