A surprise for me................

well at disc of 16 no longer silences iron grunts. It more true to actual disc number. Also, large iron will still grunt regardless of disc. Which is kind of cool I was testing on a large piece and I was getting 60+ vdi with iron grunt. the grunt sounds a bit different I think as well. It's much more pronounced. I'll try to do more testing.

Got out in my yard today -------- Wet , but snow melted. 50's temp... Ground was wet....

I have some old known location dimes buried ..( Silver) ..... 6" 7" and one around 8" .. or so... Depth meter changes as you move around in pin point..Yet it was close enough to know you were over the target.

The Omega at 77 sens ..Auto GB. Iron out .Hit every coin.... All had proper ID.. I do wish it had a volume control... My hearing can use all the help it can get LOL

The Meter face is about as good as anyone who hunts coins would want. Easy to see..and every function is right there for you to glance at as you hit targets.

I know that isn't a depth demon.but it is deep enough for this OLD MAN.... Add the great stability and it is a keeper...

Elton not many detectors can give a proper stable number ID on a 8 inch buried silver dime.

I'm thinking the very wet ground helped the id immensely..... What do you think ???

This darn machine is a very good coin locater... I have to be honest. I did not expect the results I saw hitting those known location coins.

I have mostly been of the mind set.. a more expensive detector would hit better.." A high end snob so to say"... Boy was I wrong ............... if this holds true as the ground dries out...

I'm not trying to say this is the best detector out there..just that it is a good detector ............and worthy of using ... no matter the price point.
Will it day to day beat, or even keep up with some of the other detectors out ..Naaaaaaaaaaaaaa but if you hunt coins, want good Id.and a decent depth machine..This just may be something worth your time to check it out.
Will it take out crappy iron pieces, pull tabs etc..and still get the depth... I have no idea yet. Will it hit consistently on 6 7 inch coins of all denominations ?? I'm betting it will............ I may have to adjust the discrimination as I go....
