A test for all ver 4 XY SCREEN users to take .A 7MIN MUST SEE VIDEO

Bottom line, if anyone is solely leaving targets based on xy screen presentation, they will eventually leave a good one in the ground.
So it's gambling.

Calabash, what would the horseshoe look like doing the same test? Wouldn't the indicator be bouncing back and forth between ferrous and non ferrous? I would like to see the same test using the XY screen and then the horseshoe.

For me personally it makes no odds what is showing ie horseshoe or XY screen is i still dont make that decision of dig/no dig based on any info that the screen shows, audio is far more reliable and also at much greater depth than what any screen will tell you.The screen is great for showing you what setting you have dialed in for each programme but then once the setting have been altered and saved then the controller is basically redundant for the rest of the detecting session. It may seem like a wasted expense have a control and i will admit you can get by without one,but that ongoing settings change that can occur while out detecting then that is when the controller can pay for itself, but for making that all important decision to dig then that is when the headphones override the controller every time.

Audio wins over screens anyday not only on the Deus but basically every machine,if i have any doubt about any audio signal then it still has too come out,i just cannot walk away from not knowing what the target was, either good or bad.

Actually TID reading in conjunction with quality of tone overall, can be a good indicator of the level of nonferrous target maskin going on.
Disc setting here is important though.

I have seen the tdi of six you might be talking about where the tones is pulled down by the iron masking but the tdi goes to 5 or 6 . I dug a flat button in a situation like that.

For folks who what to indeed see just how good they are getting with their Deus units using 9" coil in sites loaded with nails and iron,,,with goal of finding any nonferrous target period.

If you aren't finding any targets whatsoever that are not reading between 00-06,,,especially 00-03,,,you need to keep practicing and using your Deus. Your ears likely not trained enough.

I am not posting the above to be bragging on myself.

Just this is truly the one gauge on how to measure.

Cheers

TESTING NEEDS TO BE DONE IN THE DIRT THINGS ARE NOT THE SAME WITH AIR TESTS..

Put it in the dirt then and you will find out the same thing. lol
