Anyone dealt with the above company?
I e-mailed them a couple of days ago with an enquiry about shipping costs, and still no reply.
Bet if it had been an order for a 7 or 800 dollar MD, I would have got an answer within several hours.

Well I'm dumfounded,
I did not get a reply from Aardvark detectors.

Further to this I have recieved an e-mail from Kellyco (which because it wasn't replied to from the original mail automatically went into my spam box) who don't stock the item but have
quoted about $30 more for the new version.
So is Kellyco trading under the name of Aardvark?
This all looks wrong to me and I don't like it, seems like trying to get sales under false pretences.
The ad for the 560 should have been removed from their web site instead of soliciting an order for a different model at a different price and from a different named company.
The shipping cost seems high for such small items just a couple of vibraprobes, wouldn't think there's much weight in them.
For me the price is critical or I wouldn't have enquired in the first place.
Sorry to lay this on you guys, I just had to have a rant.

Here are the shipping costs for a box weighing 1 lb., 15 oz. from the US to Scotland which is about what it would weigh. The 570 weighs just under a pound. If it tipped a little over 2 pounds, it could go even higher. Since the new US postal rates earlier in the year, overseas rates have gone up dramatically.

Kellyco and Ardvark are the same company. It's my opinion that Ardvark was started so they could advertise Whites detectors on ebay.
If someone has the true reason a big company sells certain detectors on ebay under another name then I'm all ears!

Sometimes we have to rant. We all have been there. I have heard that Aardvark was owned by Kellyco. If so I don't think they are ran at the same level of quality. I think the 560 is no longer in production. They were probably selling off their surplus at a cheaper price. When I go to buy something I have quoted Aardvark's price and Kellyco would beat it. I know Kellyco only sells the 570 for $129.95.

Same reason detector manufacturers advertise detectors under different names through various outlets under "Private Label" agreements. Garrett sells the old Treasure Ace 100/200/300 as the Predator through Kellyco.

I like that!
On the construction site in Fl. we had so many people that could barely speak English. If I didn't want them to know what I was saying, I would start using slang.

I had a little welder that didn't know much English. After work when he would get into his car, he would take his shirt off and flex his muscles. He had good muscle tone, but he had the tiniest little body. At work one day he was giving me a hard time. He wanted me to cater to his littlest needs. I called him a sissy and said "Get to work". He said, "What do sissy mean." I said,"It means you are macho, a tough guy," as I was imitating him flexing his muscles. So he was going around the job site flexing his muscles telling everybody he was a sissy. He did that all week. We all had a good laugh, till he found out what it meant. I got called into the field office because he filed discrimination chargers against me. It all worked out OK. I couldn't get rid of him. He always wanted to work with me and followed me around like a puppy dog from one job site to the next.

In the hills here we speak more old English than the rest of the nation. My grandmother ask my wife to fetch the poke from the press. My wife had no idea what she was talking about.

Yes, and what is wrong with poke which is fine to eat. I wouldn't buy a pig in the poke. We have vittles (victuals) and fried mush at dinner. They don't call it supper here.

Me loves corn meal mush fried, hush puppies and catfish, and fried grits and gravy, collard greens, sweet breads, rocky mountain oysters, and all that good stuff. When I was a kid during the depression we used to pick a lot of wild stuff - wild berries and melons, wild asparagus, wild onions. mushrooms.
