there are some newbies on here and there are other developments.
She has had the symptoms for over two years. She was diagnosed with Gastro-paresis at Ohio State University. Gastro-paresis means paralyzed stomach. It's not a common diagnosis, so most medical personel have never heard of it. Her stomach passes food through somestimes in a normal time span and sometimes not. To keep from being nauseated almost constantly her diet consists of peanut butter toast, grilled or baked turkey with nothing on it, chicken grilled or baked with nothing on it and water. Any food with fat may make her nauseated for up to two weeks. She can't possibly be getting enough of the correct vitamin and minerals for her body to function. I have asked doctors about the nutrion and most just draw a blank look. She is probably mal-nutritoned but who sees that in the U.S.A. Her heart is starting to beat irregularly. Her vital signs are ok so she is seen as medically "STABLE". If you're stable, then you obviously don't need treatment. I have been with her to doctors visits and asked "does she has to have organ damage to get treatment?" and the answer was, YES. The lack of nutrition, exercise (she doesn't have the strength to do more than eat and go to the bathroom) and be able to attend to her family are taking a psychological toll. You don't want to mention psychological in front of some medical professionals as they will want to send you to a psychiatrist and their practice is definately not based on the word of God. They will try to medicate you out of your mind. I am at the point of asking has this went on for so long that we are past the point of no return. A doctor has told Michelle's husband that if the Gasro-paresis enters the bowel, they have no solution. She can't take the medication for the disease and the only alternative is they put a pacemaker on the stomach. You then have to eat at the very same time every day and you may not ever be able to eat the foods that you used to eat. She doesn't have insurance at this point but Medicaid is coming. Some Gastro doctors won't take her for that reason and some Gastro doctors don't know enough about the disease and won't take her. All the prayers have helped her live ths long. I know that DIGDOUG can relate to all this with his son Brian. The medical community knows less about Brian's condition than we do about Michelle's condition. "Gunswinger", Bernie that posts on here has lost a huge number of his family in less than two years. Joe G lost his brother just recently and his mother isn't well at all. There are others that post currently or in the past on here and their problems aren't any less. I don't want to bury my child when they should be the ones to bury me. The LORD God Almighty is in charge though. My daughter belongs to him. Those that have children know that when parent wants a child home then it's time to come home. We look at our loved ones as our own but if they are the LORD'S dear child, they're not ours. Please don't post to this message. If this message has affected you, so be it.
