Hi, I recently bought the Detech SSP-2100PI machine that is imported by them. It seems to be a copycat of the Pulse Star II (pro?). Got the 4 coils that go with it. I have only had it out 5 times, but it works as advertized. This is the analog controlled machine, not one of the digital display types. I prefer this as far as ease of use and durability. I am not wild about the external (yet powerful) NiCad battery. I am going to have to contrive a better battery holder than adhesive velcro. The stock battery holder snaps on but will not run very long.

The manual is most likely translated from Bulgarian and one part has the information reversed.
However the controls are very easy to use and understand after some practice.

For beach/wet usage it needs a weatherproof box/case and I am working on one.

The coils are high quality and the rods are Whites compatible.

Note you only get the magnetometer function on the big coil that comes with this model.

The Pulse Star II is a German detector from a company thats been making this kind of machine for years. I used one back in 1994 or 1995 when they cost around
