Ace 250 - 11th. Hunt

Found my first ring and $1 coin today. Both rings 4"-6" down. Total for day after 3 hours was 2 rings, 1 button, $100 Mexican coin, Sacagawea Dollar, clad quarter, 2 clad cents, and 1 wheat penny. This is my 11th. trip. I really like the Ace 250. I have been using the sniper coil most of the time and was using it when I got the above items.

Nice rings!!!! What year is the wheatie and the Mexican coin? If the Mexican coin is any older than 1990 then its not produced anymore. Mexican coins worth about ten U.S. dollars, if it's still produced.

I hate what the soil does to pennies!!!

Great job mikewray Very kool finds.

What makes the sniper coil on the 250 a better set up than the stock coil? Im fairly new at hunting, Thanks

In the high trash areas, I seem to be better able to locate a real item. You cannot cover as much ground, but I seem to be able to better select where to dig.

It isn't better than the stock coil - just in certain areas. Every size coil has a specific use and place to use it. You can use a Sniper exclusively if you wish ( some guys do ) , it will just take a lot longer to cover any given stretch of ground. It works great in trashy areas or up close to metal playground equipment, chain link fences, etc.

are you telling me you got 4" to 6" using the sniper coil thats really good depth for a so called low buck machine
yes, I have found several coins and other items. We have very hard black clay dirt around Dallas and many times, I'm digging down that deep to find the object. Because of the hard soil, I don't dig on the deep unless I have a real solid hit on a good item. It's just too hard to dig and takes too much time.

The little Sniper will get seven inches on a good day which is why it's so popular and you can generally run the sensitivity at full bore with it. It's a doozy.

Bill.
