Well, if we talked you out of it, you would just get a lesser machine for the same $$$,
or spend more to get an equal..

Seriously, I think it's the best machine for the price out there.
Can't go wrong. It works, and even if you decided to get something else,
you could flip that 250 in no time. Look for used 250's... I bet you don't see a
whole lot of them. Most that buy em, keep em. And if you do sell one, you
won't be waiting too long to unload it.
With the two extra coils, it's a killer for the $$$$ involved. I can hunt most any type
of area and expect to do a reasonable job.
The sniper coil is a killer, and I actually recommend it as the first add on coil,
vs the 9x12. Well, unless you know you are going to be mostly in large fields...
The 250 with the sniper is a very fun machine to use. It's like a coin vac, and
yes, really lets you weed through the junk.
I'll have had mine for three years at the beginning of next year, and I have no
regrets at all. And it's good enough, I'm still content enough not to feel I need
to upgrade yet. A lot of that is due to the two extra coils.
But also I'm really used to it, and that can mean as much as a fancier machine
at the end of the day. Like Bill says, if you know how to use it, "which is basically
a no brainer, being it's so easy", you are not going to miss much that any other
machine would do, being most targets are within an "average" depth that any
good machine can do. I can catch quarters to about 11 inches or so with the
9x12 coil. That's not too bad for a low price machine.
And the good part is the 9x12 will still hit on tiny stuff. I've found BB's with the
9x12 coil, and they hit like a 5lb bass on a 202 zebco..

Anyway, for the price, can't go wrong.
