ace 250 techniques from anyone who cares to share!!

Usually I am in the local parks and sports fields so they tend to be in the 1-3inch range but they
can go much deper.

The MXT is a good machine, for sure. Its all in the hands of the operator, however.
It is a better machine in many ways than the Ace 250, but the Ace is an excellent
machine for the beginner. It should sell for a lot more than it does because it preforms as good
or better than many mid-range detectors. If your find better stuff it could be and probably
is the luck of the draw, also where you and he detect. Also, what do you mean by better stuff?
I save my MXT for the relic hunts around old buildings or in the fields whre I want more depth
and sensitivity. Its also a great gold prospecting machine, or so I have heard. I have never
used the MXT for that.

Thats a good idea to prush your pinpointer over the area. I just learned to do that
after digging a plug only to find the quarter sitting almost if anot on top of the grass.
Just couldn't see it. The pinpointer really does save time.

It was designed by Troy Galloway and manufactured by Tesoro under a "private label" agreement. It was basically a Tesoro with some of Troy's innovations incorporated within.

Detecting is 90% operator 10% detector. I think you just have to remind him about who is bringing home the goodies.:poke: I got to swing a couple of different detectors today(a Quattro and an X-Terra 70) and it just reinforced my appreciation, in the Ace.
Just keep up a curious nature, and you'll continue to be impressed with what you can do with the Ace.
