ACE 9x12 coil

DK

New member
Took the ACE Proformance 9x12 out in the backyard for a quick hunt before the sun went down. Did not pick up anything new. Going to try some old areas I checked before this week. Does this coil go deeper, or what is the biggest advantage of using it?

usually get more depth and better coverage. Not as good seperation though!

Larger coils go deeper and cover more area. The downside is they also pick up more trash signals for the same reasons. Smaller coils much better in trashy areas..The water machine I use has the large coil as I like to cover as much area as possible in the water. (CZ20)

When I had my Ace 250, I had the stock 6" x 9" concentric coil. I talked to my local dealer about going with the 9" x 12" concentric coil and he told me I'd be better off buying the small 4.5" Sniper Search
coil because the standard coil was ample to find most coins existing in the ground now less than 8" deep. Many of the parks I visited regularly had a lot of trash and the smaller coil will do a much better job of finding the good stuff among the trash and, with reasonable sensitivity settings, give you ample depth to find the good stuff.

I tried the 9x12 coil on my 250 I switched back to the standard coil The 9x12 coil is now modern pop art on the wall
