Good to see you out to do some:detecting:

Looks like a good day to me lazy. Thanks for posting pics.

I'm glad you're back posting. Nice collection of loot and your usual thorough job cleaning up the playground.

Hi Lazy.
I've seen you posting about that 'other' detector:nono::angel: I hope it's going well. I haven't played with my one of them much of late as a couple of other detectors are keeping me distracted.:poke: One green one and a grey one.
It's good to see you picked up the fifty. They seem to be the least common find. Partly because of their size, and partly because they can cause the notching to bounce around often. Got to love them goldies.

P.S. How do you go at finding modern coins with that other high end machine. They seem to like silver, but I still struggle to tell screw caps and pull tabs apart from coins. Got around a 100 hours on it too. Great tones eta, I'm just not very good with it.

thanks all
John i"m all ways in the good book
bill:smoke: house apes = kids, $2 & $1 coins on the bottom 50c-10c -5c coins on the top.
Mick the " other " detector is working out well 5 gold rings so far i" had a few hick ups along the way but i"m starting to get use to this style of hunting now :).
yeah the 50c are my least found coins as well although i do find more on the beach. i find the big M detector dosen"t do well hunting newer coins the closer to the coil the target is the more erratic the signal it becomes i was hunting a nice cut down at a beach a wile back the coins were almost on the on the surface it was missing quite a few & most of the others were real choppy sounding but nothing bets it at finding old deep silver.
hows the grey one working out ??? there meant to be hot on small gold.

Thanks for the tip on the big M. The grey unit is working out fairly well. I'm going out with the local club on Saturday for it's first gold hunt (and my second). It's the first time I'll be able to get out with the club). I've been trying to get out with them for 3 years. After the hunt, I've got to send it back for repair though due to a faulty numeric display. I've been putting up with it till now so that I had the machine for the hunt this week end. I can see most of the number, but not all of it. I seem to have a bad run on that model of detector. The other one had to be sent back 3 times. I hope that I only have to send this one back once.
Mick Evans.
